Come out for the first-ever Berryville Film Festival!

If you haven’t heard, Berryville will be the site of a film festival this September.  There will be events going on at the Community Center and on the Square from 10 AM to 6 PM on Friday, September 13, and 10 AM to evening hours on Saturday, September 14.

Click here for more information or visit their Facebook page. Day passes are reasonably priced BUT there are also free events including two hosted by the library: a Young Screenwriters Workshop and a free outdoor family movie night.  Check it all out and come out and support this great, new community event!

Come out for Pioneer Days!

The Carroll County Historical Society is hosting the 2024 Pioneer & Heritage Days Festival in Pioneer Park right behind the library on Friday and Saturday, September 20-21.  Free historical reenactments, music, fun, and more!  Click here for full schedule.  If you go, be sure to say hi to the Friends of the Library at their booth!

Meet up with us on the 4th Monday!

We are launching a new community event this month: the 4th Monday Meetup.  Each month we will meet up for some new food for thought and great conversation with new (and old) friends.

This month come to the library on Monday, September 23, at 10 AM to meet Dick Courteau. This Madison County farmer, cowboy, and donkey/horse trainer has written two books: Get Your Ass to Work and Profoundly Country.  He will be reading passages from his second book and sharing stories of a country life well-lived.  Click here for more information about Dick and his books

Oh, there will be free coffee and donuts, too!
