May Program Calendar

Posted on May 1, 2025

It’s the merry month of May! We have plans for lots of merriment at the library. We hope you join in on the fun!

Need more information about any of these programs or any of the services the library provides? Contact us via phone, Facebook, Instagram, email, or in person.

May is the last month our Berryville Grows! Little Seed Library will be open for the year. Seeds are available only while supplies last. Come in soon to pick up your free bean, cucumber, squash, and melon seeds.

Featured seeds are limited to one packet per type of seed per person for the first couple weeks. This is just to ensure that all who are interested have a chance to swing by to get some.

There will be a final seed grab where there are no limits, but we ask that you only take what you will plant soon. The final seed grab will start May 19.

Look for the third Celebrate Berryville! monthly prompt in May. So far we’ve started gathering stories about what brought us to Berryville and where we work. This month we are turning our attention to what we eat now and what we remember eating in the past, especially in the 1930s and the 1970s.

Isn’t it also fun to win prizes? Celebrate Berryville! can help there, too!

Anytime you submit a story, picture, or other Berryville memory at the library or to [email protected] you will earn a chance to win a prize that highlights something fun in, from, or about Berryville. Every story submitted earns a new chance to win. Any story can be submitted at any time (you don’t have to limit yourself to just that month’s prompt). Prizes will be drawn monthly!

Get geared up for summer reading by entering our Color Our World Coloring Contest! There are categories for all ages. We don’t want only kids to have all the fun!

Coloring sheets are available starting May 12. Entry deadline is June 2.

Why color? Well, we’ve heard…colors are like smiles – they brighten up everything! 🌈
