June Program Calendar

Make this a summer of adventure! The library can help. Lots of free fun all month long, plus reading challenges for all ages!

Calendar of programs at the Berryville Library during June 2024.

Need more information about any of these programs or any of the services the library provides? Contact us via phone, Facebook, Instagram, email, or in person.

This summer we will once again bring a wide variety of shows and performers to Berryville on Mondays at 1 PM!  Our stage adventures will be at Berryville High School’s Performing Arts Center starting Monday, June 10. Performers and guests will include Will Hill telling Native American tales of high adventure, Animalogy with a menagerie of adventurous animals, Matt Sandback and his shadow puppets, Opera in the Ozarks with a special version of Little Red Riding Hood, and the Amazeum with a hands-on amusement park adventure!

This summer Wednesdays are made for adventure!  Each Wednesday at 1 PM, starting June 5, we will alternate between an adventure in one of Berryville’s many fun parks or an ArtVenture at the library.

Arkansas Game and Fish will be here for most of our park adventures to share lessons in archery, stream quality and critters, and the skins, skulls, and tracks of Arkansas wildlife.

ArtVentures will kick off with Winding Through the Ozarks, a special presentation by the Shiloh Museum, which focuses on a little bit of history about the Civilian Conservation Corps in Arkansas and a lot on the art of weaving. Other ArtVentures planned for this summer include sand art, sewing, and sculpting.

We live in a beautiful place where fun adventures can happen almost every day! From camping to road tripping to kayaking to relaxing on creeks, on trains, or in spas, we don’t have to go far to have whatever sort of adventure we like most.  The Friends of the Berryville Library highlighted a lot of the different local adventures we could have in their Make It a Summer of Adventure Fundraising Raffle.  We want to thank the local businesses who showered their support on the library by donating prizes and sponsorships to the raffle. If you can, stop by these businesses and say thanks!

If you are reading this before June 8, it’s not too late to buy some raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the 9 great prizes the Friends are giving away!  Tickets are available at the library. Winners will be drawn on Saturday, June 8, at 1 PM at the Ice Cream Social!

We have self-paced reading challenges for all ages. You read what, when, and how much you want.  Reading to others and listening to audiobooks count, too. Great rewards for your brain and for our community (we aren’t exaggerating, click on the links to see). There are smaller, silly prizes to claim as well, if you sign up and report your reading hours to the library by July 26.
