Did you know February is I LOVE TO READ month? This is a time set aside to remind everyone, young and old, how important it is just to read for fun? In celebration we are launching Berryville Faves!

Berryville Faves! is a special shelf in the library that will feature a variety of books, all recommended by friends and neighbors right here. It will be a great way to discover your next fun read or just an author or title you may never have thought to try. But to keep it full, we need you!

Share a book (or two) that you love with others by writing a Quick Review. (We promise it is quick – all you need to do is give us three words that describe the book and a 1-2 sentence summary.) Hand in your Quick Review card at the desk.  Then just sit back and watch for your favorite to appear on Berryville Faves!

We have big plans for a special project this year that we hope will be fun for all who care about our community. First step, though, is to gather some thoughts about what people think about Berryville right now.

In February, we will be collecting surveys from as many people as possible. The survey takes only about 5 minutes to complete and will be available to pick up and turn back in at the library and the Berryville Community Center. Or you can download one right here and bring it in (or email it back) whenever you can.

No names are required. We hope you will share your thoughts with us!

Join us for a special book tasting event at this month’s 4th Monday Meetup!

We won’t dare you to actually eat a book, but we will push you to try something new. You’ll have the opportunity to sample from over two dozen books covering a wide range of genres. You’ll be able to check out the books that pique your interest and learn more about other resources and services we offer to help you find reading recommendations tailor-made just for you.

There will be free coffee and donuts, too.
