December Program Calendar

It’s time to raise some cheer!

Calendar of events happening at the Berryville Library in December 2024

Need more information about any of these programs or any of the services the library provides? Contact us via phone, Facebook, Instagram, email, or in person.

Stop by the library to pick up a December Fun Card. For each of the cheer-raising activities on the card that you complete, $2 of your library fines will be waived. Black out the card by completing all nine activities to earn $20 of waived library fines.

Worried you won’t be able to complete these activities? Don’t fear, they are fun and simple things like baking a Christmas treat (or eating one), watching a Christmas movie, and just visiting with someone you don’t usually get to talk to much.

No fines to worry about? You can complete a card and gift your waived fines forward to help a patron in need of a little fine forgiveness this holiday season.

Don’t delay! All activities must be completed and reported to the library by December 31 to make those fines disappear!

Check out our Family Bingo Booth at Christmas on the Square on Saturday, December 7. It will be free for all to play and there will be fun, festive prizes. There will be lots of other things going on as well including visits from Santa and the Grinch, caroling, tree lighting, and more. And then there will be the Berryville Christmas Parade!

Gather everyone together for Family Movie Night on Saturday, December 14. The Wild Robot will be on the screen. No tickets are required but be sure to bring your own blankets, pillows, and snacks!

There are lots of different ways you can support the library this month and help us raise the last bit we need to reach our $3.5M goal for our new building!

  • Give an end-of-year gift to the Building Project. No gift is too big or too small. Donations in the form or cash or checks are accepted anytime at the library. Donations can be made by credit card online here. Or have some real fun and help us get the buzz going by calling your gift or just words of excitement about the new library into our KTHS Telethon on National Giving Day, Tuesday, December 3, 9 AM to 1 PM. The telethon number is (870) 505-4877.
  • Treat yourself to some baked goodies at the Friends of the Library’s Christmas Bake Sale. It will be in the library lobby from 9 AM to 6 PM on Friday, December 13. All proceeds go to support the library. Bakers are still needed, as well. Just let us know at the library if you would be willing to bake.
  • Stock up on some good reads at some great prices! Make time to browse through our Pop-up Paperback Super Sale in the lobby from December 20 to January 4. All paperbacks will be just 10¢; buy a whole bag for $1.50!

Questions? Just give us a call at the library.
