April Program Calendar

Posted on April 1, 2026

We’re springing into a new season both literally and figuratively. We’re not foolin’, there’s lots of big happenings at the library this month. Come by and check it all out!

Need more information about any of these programs or any of the services the library provides? Contact us via phone, Facebook, email, or in person.

We will be moving to our beautiful new library at 207 S. Springfield this summer!

The new library will be opening on Saturday, June 20, at 10 AM. There will be some celebrations and special events for all ages that day and throughout our first full week in the new building.

Library operations will be disrupted as the staff prepares for and facilitates the move. We will offer regular library programming through Saturday, May 16. The last day we will be open in our current location is Saturday, May 30.

Watch for more details on all of this soon. But know that summer reading will go on (it will be a throwback as we move forward😊)!

The 12-Hour Film Challenge is back!

This is an excellent opportunity for all those ages 10 to 24 to learn the ins and outs of the film industry.

It is free and lots of fun. But registration is required. Learn more here!

Talk of AI is all the buzz these days. Join Craig and Kelly at the 4th Monday Meetup on April 27 as they discuss the making of imaginary worlds and how they work together as author and illustrator to determine how best to balance the use of traditional art and digital tools.

It will be a lively conversation for all who love fantasy, children’s books, the craft of storytelling, or just a great debate on AI and our future.
